Restop® on Mt. Everest
Did you know that human waste is a major problem on Mt. Everest? Restop is proud to support efforts to clean up the mountain. The 1998 Everest Environmental Expedition used Restop to achieve their goal to ‘leave no trace’ on the famous mountain. The Restop personal lavatory system survived conditions ranging from scorching sun to temperatures well below freezing, extreme winds and altitudes up to 21,300 feet. As base camp manager Didrik Johnck said, the "field lavatory system was an integral part of our environmental plan for the expedition."
